Client Testimonials
I’ve known Harro for years but fished with him for the first time when I went to Awoonga for the first time. He’s all that the talk says. I wouldn’t have hooked, let alone have boated my first barra were it not for him walking me through. (Johnny Mitchell pic) Bev Cheffins, Gold Coast.

Harro coached me through where to cast and how fast to crank. The trip was worth it just for the tips. Mike Park, Sydney

| My Dad organized a 2 day charter for me with Rod for my birthday even though I had been Barra fishing plenty of times with my Dad, I had never been on a charter before let alone one by myself. What I thought would be a 2 day fishing trip turned into a 2 day learning experience that I still cant believe . 1st morning session was spent with Rod teaching me a different way to cast so as to get the best out of the gear as well as explaining to me about conditions and how to read them. 1st afternoon session was spent casting with an 80cm fish boated with Rod the whole time just quietly talking me through it explaining when to put the pressure on the fish and when to back of through rod work. ½ an hour later I hooked up again this time to a better fish the whole time Rod just kept me calm and talked me through the fight with the fish. This fish went 105 cm on the head after the fish was released Rod took the time to explain why the technique he was teaching me worked. 2nd afternoon session Dad decided to come with us an hour into it I hooked up, as the fish jumped the first words that came out of Dads mouth were” Shit this a good fish’ the whole time Rod just kept talking to me in a quiet way telling me to use the techniques and rod work he had taught me earlier and keeping calm through out the fight. Not long after the fish was in the boat and hit the 115cm mark and an honest 50 pounds . My Dad couldn’t believe it after listening to Rod talk me through the fight and watching me actually do it, he reckons he has totally changed his approach to controlling a barra when hooked up. Rod you took me fishing for Barra but the best thing of all is that you took the time to teach me techniques and pass on knowledge to me that I could never have gotten out of a magazine in an easy way that just made sense. Thank’s for the experience Candice

Glad my husband Bruce and I had the opportunity to go Barramundi fishing with Rod Harrison. His teaching method proved successful as I caught my first Barra 103 cm long. When I first hooked up I did not think I was strong enough to bring the fish in - with Rod's encouragement and guidance I was able to bring it into the boat so he could retrieve it from the water and hold it up for me to have a picture taken. The next night we were in our own boat and Bruce caught his first Barra 110 cm long. Gwen Ware
